South Asian People’s Action on Climate Crisis: Make Hyderabad Conference a Great Success

The consequences of the climate change has already reached serious proportions as reflected in the drastic changes like frequent draughts and many of the regions receiving whole seasons’ rains as intense rainfall within few days causing heavy sudden floods, earth slips etc. Still, the ruling systems all over the world have refused to recognize the seriousness of the impending ecological catastrophe. It is in this context, under the banner: South Asia People’s Action on Climate Crisis, a Conference  is organized on 18th to 21st September at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Hyderabad, to bring together scientists, farmers, youth, workers, women, etc, from all the South Asian nations to ask for a people’s climate emergency to be declared in South Asian countries, and for the implementation of the  demands to ask the South Asian governments to implement these demands and to table a resolution in the UN to have a global climate emergency declared.

Along with many people’s movements, environmental organizations and mass movements, CPI(ML) Red Star is part of its Organizing Committee.
