On 29 September a meeting was organised at KSEB Hall at Kochi (Kerala) by OPDR Comrades for a discussion on how to develop resistance against intensifying saffron fascism. It was attended by progressive democratic political movements, dalit liberation organizations, ecological movements, people's struggle committees and intellectuals. In meeting precided by OPDR state president Ad Kumarankutty, CPI (ML) Red Star general secretary com KN Ramachandran introduced the subject. Comrades TS Narayanan( MCPI - U State Secretary), K S Hariharan ( RMPI Central Executive Member), M K Dasan (CPI - ML Redstar State Secretary, Sudhir Kumar ( SUCI - C State Committee Member), Adv P O John (National Dalit Liberation Front state president), PA Puran (PUCL State President) Appukkuttan Vallikkunnu, S Babuji (Western Ghat protection coordination president), Dr Ajoykumar, Dr Sadasivan, anti IOC plant struggle Committee leader KS Murali, Democratic protection forum president Prembabu, convener Shahjahan, Ad Sabi Joseph, KR Aravindakshan and others participated in the discussion. The meeting decided to form a broad based Anti Fascist People’s Committee and to organize a massive democratic convention by end of November uniting all other like minded forces also to adopt anti fascist alternative program and to declare struggles in support of restoring democratic rights of Kashmiri people, for repealing whole NRC process, demanding withdrawal of citizenship ( amendment) Bill and to join with similar movements in other states for throwing out the fascist for an alternative democratic development program. For this a broad based Committee with Adv Kumarankutty as chairman and Dr Ajoykumar as convener was formed.
