Martyrs of Emergency Days Remembered

IN Kerala the martyrs of emergency days: comrades Rajan, Vijayan and Balakrishnan, were remembered in the first week of March at a number of places. During 1976, in the dark days of emergency rule imposed by Indira Gandhi government, as part of the countrywide struggles taking place, hundreds of comrades of CPI(ML) Red Star who raised the slogan “Throw Emergency in to Arabian Sea” were arrested and tortured during which these comrades became martyrs. The relevance of remembering the martyrs and intensifying the struggle for democracy in these days when the RSS parivar has launched fascist assault on whatever democratic rights are existing in the society through Modi government was highlighted during these programs
