RYFI and AIRSO All India Study Camp

AN all India study camp for the RYFI All India Council members and for the delegates to the AIRSO Fourth All India Conference at Gandhi Bhavan at Bhopal on 24th and 25th June. The camp was inaugurated by com.KN Ramachandran who urged the leading comrades to equip themselves ideologically and politically so as to prepare themselves to fight against the increasing attacks on the education field and rights of the youth under the Modi government. On 24th morning Prof. Anil Sadgopal, who is also in the leadership of the All India Forum for Right to Education, took the class on how to combat the commercialization of education and replied to questions. In the afternoon, Prof. Madhu Prasad of JNU took the class on commercialization and communalization of education based on the paper already distributed to the participants. It was also followed by a question and answer session.

On 25th morning com. Tuhin Dev presened the paper on Distortion of the History by the RSS parivar using the state power. Including the questions and answers the session continued from 8.30 am to 01.00 pm. In the afternoon com.Shankar presented the talk pm intensifying ecological destruction and the need for an alternate develop paradigm to combat it. The discussion on this also continued from 2 pm to 6pm. It was followed by presentation of the documentary: Ram Ke Nam by com. Anand Patwardhan. After the presentation there was an evaluation of the camp and the documentary by the participants. Many suggestions were put forward to better the study camp next year.

The Fourth Conference of the All India Revolutionary Student Organisation

The Fourth All India Conference of the AIRSO was held on 26th June at Gandhi Bhavan, Bhopal. Delegates from six state participated in the Conference which discussed and adopted with changes the report of the outgoing Central Committee and Central Resolution which calls for defeating the commercialization of education and struggle for free, compulsory and scientific democratic education from KG to PG level. The Conference decided to complete the membership campaign by 30th September, to hold the state level study camps by that time. The Conference elected a new Central Committee which elected com. Vinay from Chhattisgarh as president and com. Akshay from Maharashtra as general secretary. The Conference concluded with the call to build AIRSO in to a powerful fighting movement
