Nagpur: Meeting on Relevance of Naxalbari Uprising

04 October 2016
AT the conclusion of the Central Committee meeting of the CPI(ML) Red Star, a meeting was held at Rashtra Bhasha Bhavan hall on 24th September evening presided by com. Arun Velaskar and addressed by comrades KNR and Pradeep Singh Thakur. The speakers explained how the question of land to the tiller and political power to the people have become more relevant than ever when the corporatization-communalization regime of Modi government has intensified the attack on workers, peasants, dalits, adivasis, women and all other oppressed classes and sections. Taking lessons from the past mistakes, the ideological political struggle should be intensified to build a powerful communist party which can overthrow the present ruling system and advance to people’s democracy and socialist transformation. A lively discussion on the questions raised by the audience followed. It was announced that a march to Naxalbari shall be organized in next May culminating with a rally on 25th May at the culmination of this campaign.
